In the last two seasons, Freiburg performed strongly in the Bundesliga and quite deservedly finished at the top of the standings. Hoffenheim, on the other hand, performed unconvincingly in the past season and are now aiming to be more successful in the current campaign.
Hoffenheim will be without Ozan Kabak, Bambase Conte and Umut Tohumju due to injury, while Freiburg will be without new Salzburg signing Junior Adamu, permanently injured Daniel-Kofi Kiere and red card-suspended Nicolas Höfler for the same reason.
At first glance, the two teams are evenly matched, taking into account the home team, which will be on Hoffenheim's side, and therefore a draw is the most logical result.
